The EP-TCAM series PIPS detector is an enhanced version of the standard Continuous Air Monitor (CAM) detector, specifically engineered for reliable alpha-particle monitoring in harsh environmental conditions—such as offshore platforms or industrial stack emissions.

These detectors feature a micromachined surface with a precisely controlled inert coating applied over a thin aluminum layer. This advanced coating delivers superior resistance to acids and mechanical abrasion while being significantly thinner than conventional aluminum entrance windows. The reduced thickness minimizes energy loss and mitigates artifacts such as particle "flashing," thereby improving detection accuracy and spectral resolution.

Designed for durability and performance under extreme conditions, the EP-TCAM series ensures stable, long-term operation in demanding radiological monitoring applications.
