EGW3043 Tube Base Multi-Channel Analyzer

The EGW3043 is a compact, integrated pulse height analyzer designed as a 14-pin photomultiplier tube (PMT) base. It features a built-in 4096-channel multi-channel analyzer (MCA), matched preamplifier and shaping amplifier circuits, and an integrated high-voltage power supply. The device operates in either Single-Channel Analyzer (SCA) mode or Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA) mode, offering flexibility for various radiation detection applications.

Powered by a low-voltage DC supply, the EGW3043 uses a standard Ethernet interface for both control and data output. It supports two data output formats:

  • List mode: raw ADC pulse height data

  • Histogram mode: processed energy spectrum data

By connecting a compatible scintillation detector and linking the unit to a computer via Ethernet, users can utilize the provided spectroscopy acquisition and analysis software to collect, display, and analyze energy spectra—with automatic peak detection and identification.
